A Happy Chair

When I found this chair at a thrift store, it was pretty ugly.  I could tell that the "bones" of the chair were good, but it was desperate for an update.

I could have taken the "safe" route and painted this chair white with a simple fabric, but I wanted it to be a bold, kind of funky, statement piece.  Once I found this fabric at Joann Fabric, I decided to go bright yellow.  I like the contrast of black and sunny yellow.

After thoroughly cleaning and priming it, I used Rust-oleoum yellow spray paint on this piece.  I then re-covered the seat cushions with the black and white fabric.

It certainly won't appeal to everyone's taste, but I know that someone with an eclectic style sense will give it a good home!
